A "Domestic" LLC will be a limited liability company organized in Kentucky by filing Articles of Organization, Limited Liability Company. The name of the company must contain one of the following words or abbreviations: "Limited Liability Company," "Limited Company," "LLC," or "LC."

Filing Fees and Options

The fee for the Articles of Organization is $40.00.

You can submit your Articles online, by mail, or delivery to the Secretary of State's Office. Online filings are generally processed on the same business day. Paper documents are generally processed the same day they are received, but it can take up to three business days.

All entities conducting business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky must file annual reports by June 30 of each year. Reports can be filed at any time between Jan. 1 and June 30.
